New Year, New You! The Year of the Gratitude Attitude!

So we’re starting a new YEAR in 10 days….YES, 10 days!!! Holy cow!! How did an entire year fly by this fast? Or maybe you’re on the other side of the coin and you’re thinking. “It took FORVER to get through this year!” Whatever your outlook, 2016 is coming to an end.

For me, 2016 brought so many new adventures, started new chapters and I have to say was my BEST year yet!! I have to admit, while a lot of amazing things happened to me this year I credit most of my happiness in the past year to one thing…want to know what that is?

I challenge you THIS for 2017. Go in to the year with the attitude of gratitude! Be thankful for the blessings AND the lessons that come your way! Go out of your way to learn and grow and become the BEST YOU you can be in 2017. I believe that because I learn and grow every single day that is why I continue to get better myself each day/ week and year!

What are the areas my husband and I focus on…well, here they are: (we literally made this list on a plane back from long CA flight and decide to put attention on each area)

  1. Health & Wellness
  2. Financial
  3. Marital/ Family
  4. Spiritual/ Outreach/ Community Service
  5. Leisure
  6. Self Improvement/ Personal Development

While I am not going to share our entire list with you, I will tell you that putting down on paper what you want to accomplish with your partner AND by yourself with your own personal goals is SUPER IMPORTANT!!

So why health and fitness as number one you ask?

Well, without the health and wellness of ourselves we cannot create, serve and help others! If 2017 is the year of GRATITUDE than I encourage you to be grateful and honor the body you have! Don’t take it for granted!! Can’t run 5 miles or get in strength training…guess what? You can work up to that! All you have to do is WANT the gift of health and wellness in order for it to start working in your favor. You have to want to make the sacrifices that others won’t like getting up early, cutting out sweets, pushing hard in your workouts to really reap the full benefits of this!
