How I Balance Work, Mom Life, & Personal Time

How is it possible to do it all as a working mom? Balancing work, mom life, AND your own self care. It can be challenging, but with the right strategies – it is possible!

Here is my 5 step plan to get everything done in your day & finally start balancing work, mom life, and personal time.

1: Look ahead and plan your year

When you’re trying to balance multiple responsibilities, planning is essential. The first step is to look ahead and plan out your whole year. This means looking at what your life looks like currently, and what you want it to be in terms of your roles as a wife, mother, and business owner.

Set specific goals and divide them into year, quarters, months, and days to transform your visions into actionable steps.

 

2: Calendars & time blocking

Create a synchronized and color-coded calendar to keep everyone on the same page in your family. You can plan daily schedules effectively, from business meetings to family activities.

Time block your calendars by understanding your productivity patterns. Find your peak productive hours and restructure your schedule based on that.

This practice allows for effective time-blocking, thereby optimizing the productive hours of your day.

 

3: Leave a margin for error

Things won’t always go as planned. Build a margin to accommodate changes. This prevents minor setbacks from derailing your entire schedule.

 

4: Use technology to work smarter, not harder

AI tools and apps play a big role in modernizing task management.
