1: Organization
Organization is the key to having a successful business and is also important in pageantry. From paperwork to creating content during the weeks leading up to the competition, and it’s even more important during the competition!
Being organized will keep you ahead of everybody else, in pageantry and in business. It will also give you peace of mind in all aspects of life.
2: Strategy
Having a strategy is the main component of business, pageantry, and life in general. I always preach the importance of having a strategy, but what exactly does it mean to have a strategy, and why is it important? The definition of strategy is “a plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim.”
So what’s really important is recognizing where you are today, where you want to be in the future, and building a strategy to determine how you’re going to get there. Having a strategy behind what you’re going after makes achieving that goal so much easier. Not to mention the motivation it gives you knowing that you have a realistic plan to go after your goals!
3: Know Your Platform
In business, it is so important to know your platform. You have to know what you’re talking about and who you are talking to! The same idea applies to pageantry.
You need to know and be passionate about what you represent and will take action on. This helps you find that target audience and truly speak to and appeal to them.
If you’re not sure about your niche it’s going to be impossible to find the people you need to help. Being fully knowledgeable on your platform makes success so much easier for both you and the people you want to help.
