Create An Extra Hour In Your Day!

How often do you wish you could create an extra hour in your day?

Almost ALL of us would raise our hands and could easily find something to do with that extra hour.

The question is- would you be productive with that hour or would it go to waste? Are you spending the time that you have now wisely? Are you making the choice to show up every day with intent?  Do you have a plan in place or are you just winging it and hoping everything with work out?

I’ll tell you this- “when you fail to plan, you plan to fail!” Every time! I can’t tell you how many people I’ve worked with that are just flying by the seat of their pants hoping things work out.

You only have 24 hours in the day so you need to be super strategic with how you’re spending them. Use these tips to create an extra hour in your day!

1: Identify Your Goals

In order to know where you want to go, and how you want to spend your time, you have to have goals to guide how you create your schedule. Think of your goals daily, and identify how you need to spend your time each day to get a little bit closer to achieving that goal by the end of the day.

2: Identify Your “Time Suckers”

What is taking up most of your time? Keep track of how many times you get distracted throughout your day, and take note of the little things that take up too much time. Whether it’s checking your emails, scrolling social media, or cleaning the kitchen!

3: How Will You Take Control of Them?

Now, you have to figure out how to take control of these “time suckers” and decrease the amount of time you spend on these tasks. This will clear up so much extra time in your schedule. Set aside a specific time to check and reply to your emails, turn off all your notifications, or consider hiring help.

4: Discipline Is Key

You can make a whole schedule and plan how to spend your time, but will you actually be able to commit to it? This is where discipline comes in. Discipline will keep you on the right track, even if you feel unmotivated. Think about what discipline you need to embody to succeed, then do it!

5: Identify Your Peak Performance Time

Everybody has certain times that you are more productive. Whether you work better first thing in the morning, late at night, or have random bursts of motivation throughout the day. Pay attention to how you feel throughout the day, listen to that, and plan your schedule accordingly. This way, you will work more efficiently during the times you are motivated, and be able to handle other tasks when your motivation drops at other times of the day.

How amazing would you feel if you doubled your productivity, got more done in a day, and actually felt fulfilled?

Not overwhelmed, or checked out, or frustrated but actually filled because you were living on purpose and actually able to show up 100% in the areas of your life that need your attention.
